How to Reconstitute

  1. 1Gather supplies: Vesugen vial, bacteriostatic water (BW), sterile syringe (e.g., 1 mL or 3 mL), sterile needles (e.g., 18-20 gauge for drawing, 29-31 gauge for injection), alcohol wipes.
  2. 2Clean vial tops: Swab the rubber stoppers of both the Vesugen vial and the bacteriostatic water vial with alcohol wipes.
  3. 3Draw BW: Using a sterile syringe with an appropriate gauge needle, draw the desired amount of bacteriostatic water (e.g., 1 mL) from its vial.
  4. 4Inject BW into peptide vial: Carefully inject the bacteriostatic water into the Vesugen vial, directing the stream against the inside wall of the vial to prevent direct impact on the lyophilized powder.
  5. 5Allow to dissolve: Do not shake. Gently swirl the vial between your fingers until the powder is completely dissolved. This may take a few minutes.
  6. 6Inspect solution: Ensure the solution is clear and free of particulate matter. If not, discard.

Avoid shaking the vial vigorously, as this can denature the peptide. Gently swirl until completely dissolved.
