How to Reconstitute

  1. 1Gather supplies: lyophilized Crystagen vial, bacteriostatic water for injection, sterile syringe (e.g., 1mL), sterile needle (e.g., 23-25 gauge), alcohol swabs.
  2. 2Clean hands thoroughly with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  3. 3Swab the rubber stopper of the Crystagen vial and the bacteriostatic water vial with alcohol swabs and allow to air dry.
  4. 4Draw the desired volume of bacteriostatic water (e.g., 1 mL) into the sterile syringe.
  5. 5Slowly inject the bacteriostatic water into the Crystagen vial, aiming the stream down the side of the vial to minimize direct impact on the lyophilized powder.
  6. 6Do not shake the vial. Gently swirl or roll the vial between your palms for several minutes until the powder is completely dissolved, ensuring no visible particles remain.
  7. 7Once dissolved, inspect the solution for clarity and absence of particulate matter. Store the reconstituted solution as directed.
