Topical peptides are applied to the skin only and are never injected. This calculator is specifically for formulating topical serums and creams. For injectable peptide reconstitution use the Peptide Calculator in the Tools section.

Step 1 — Select Your Peptide

Research range: 0.1% to 3%. Start at 0.5% for sensitive skin. Water-soluble.

Step 2 — Vial Size

Enter the total amount of peptide powder in your vial

Step 3 — Target Concentration

%

Recommended range for GHK-Cu: 0.1% to 3%

Step 4 — Choose Your Carrier Base

Best overall carrier. Water-based, works with all water-soluble peptides. Most popular choice. No BAC water needed.

Water-based carrier detected. No bacteriostatic water needed. Your peptide powder dissolves directly into this carrier.

Carrier Base Needed

3.33mL

to achieve 1.5% concentration of GHK-Cu

Mixing Instructions

  1. Measure out 3.33mL of Hyaluronic Acid Serum into a clean bowl or measuring cup
  2. Add your GHK-Cu powder directly into the carrier
  3. Stir gently with a clean spatula until fully dissolved — do not shake or whisk
  4. Transfer immediately to an airless pump bottle or amber dropper bottle
  5. Label clearly with: peptide name, concentration percentage, and date mixed
  6. Refrigerate and use within the storage window shown below

Storage — GHK-Cu

  • Unreconstituted powder: room temperature up to 2 months, refrigerated up to 6 months
  • Finished serum: refrigerate at 2–8°C, use within 4 weeks
  • Store in amber glass or opaque airless pump — direct light degrades copper peptides
  • If solution turns blue-green or cloudy, discard immediately
  • Do not freeze finished serum

Pairs Well With

Matrixyl 3000 (collagen stacking), Madecassoside (barrier support), SNAP-8 (expression lines). Apply GHK-Cu serum first, wait 30–60 seconds, then layer thinnest to thickest.

Avoid Combining

Do not apply in the same session as low pH actives including vitamin C serums, glycolic acid, or retinol. Use these at separate times of day — copper peptides at night, acids in the morning.
